NLAA Lecture Series 2017

The Architecture Lecture Series is an annual event hosted by the Newfoundland and Labrador Association of Architects (NLAA) featuring national and international architects and urban designers.

For the 2017 Lecture Series, the Atlantic Provinces Association of Landscape Architects (APALA) has been invited to collaborate with the NLAA and will be hosting the upcoming lecture on Wednesday, October 11 at the Yellow Belly (upstairs) in downtown St. John’s, NL. The evening begins with an informal meet and greet at 7:00pm before continuing with the lecture at 8:00pm. The lecture is free and open to the public. All are
welcome to attend.

The Lecture Series was created, as a mandate of the Public Awareness Committee of the NLAA, with the intention of increasing the awareness of architecture and the built environment in Newfoundland and Labrador. It has proven to be a well-received venue for design-based dialogue about cities, towns and outport communities across the province. Each lecturer is chosen based on their respective portfolios of work and
research that is related to the current built environment in Newfoundland and Labrador.

By sharing with us their ideas and experiences, the hope is that the Lecture Series can engage the public in a discussion about the future of our built environment in Newfoundland and Labrador.
