Study of the Value of the Profession of Landscape Architecture on Canadian Society and the Economy – Request for Proposals
Objectives of the proposal: The objective of the work is to submit a report to the CSLA with data which supports and quantifies the landscape architecture profession’s impact in Canadian society and economy. The CSLA is especially interested in having access to data on the profession to enhance its promotion and advocacy initiatives, and which will enhance the understanding of the profession’s place in our society and economy. The ultimate goals and uses of this research are:

  • To portray and promote the Landscape Architecture profession as a mature, viable, expanding and influential contributor to the economy.
  • To develop communication messages to the public, professionals, government and other agencies and organizations about the benefits of the profession
  • To provide evidence and rationale in support of the creation of new Landscape Architecture Programs across the country
  • To support existing academic institutions in their pursuit of appropriate funding levels for accredited schools /programs of Landscape Architecture

CSLA Compensation and Benefits Survey – Request for Proposals
Study Purpose and Objectives: The objective of the work is to undertake a survey and provide a report containing comprehensive documentation of compensation and benefits currently provided to landscape architects employed across Canada, providing a base of quantifiable resources and information on the profession of landscape architecture.

The 2015 CSLA Congress will be held in Mexico City, Mexico, from May 20 to 23, 2015 at the Hilton Mexico City Reforma. The theme is Green Futures – Livable Cities of Tomorrow


Call for Abstracts
The Canadian Society of Landscape Architects (CSLA) invites qualified experts to submit abstracts for oral presentations (concurrent sessions, 30 minutes in length) to be made at the upcoming 2015 CSLA Congress scheduled to be held in México, May 20-23, 2015. Presentations are scheduled on May 21, 22 and 23 and we expect 200 to 250 delegates to be present. The deadline for the Call for Abstracts is 21 November 2014. CLICK HERE to learn more
