Resources for Landscape Architects

Call for Interest

The Communications Committee of APALA is seeking submissions for consideration in a promotional video for landscape architecture in Atlantic Canada.

“Landscape Architecture is the profession committed to the creation of meaningful and vital outdoor places and to the sustainable management of our environment.”

The Communications Committee was established to find creative approaches to educate the public about the role of a landscape architect. Their main areas of focus were to increase APALA’s involvement in social media and provide a resource that LA’s could use to help inform and educate potential clients.

We have updated the social media platforms and have regular posts on each platform. The final project is to create a short 2-3 minute video that identifies the unique challenges we face in Atlantic Canada and why it is important to have a landscape architect as part of the team.

The video will provide you with a tool to offer to public and private sectors to help them better understand the role of a landscape architect and how that knowledge is essential to a particular project or installation. For this video we are calling on our members to provide projects that can be showcased in the video.

The Atlantic Provinces Association of Landscape Architecture (APALA) Communications Committee is producing a 2-3 minute video promoting Landscape Architecture in Atlantic Canada. We are requesting an expression of interest to have one of your installations highlighted in this video.
